Leyland 245-270
Vuoden 1972 lopussa uusittiin Leylandien tyyppimerkinnät: 253:sta tuli 245, 344:stä 255 ja 384:stä 270. Loppunumerot kertoivat moottorin tehon. 255:n ja 270:n uudistetuissa moottoreissa oli mm. suuremmat venttiilit ja paksummat sylinteriputken seinämät. Suomessa 3- ja 4-sylinteriset varustettiin edelleen Junkkarin ohjaamolla alkuperäisen Q-ohjaamon sijasta. 245:een Q-ohjaamo tuli vuonna 1976.
Samaan aikaan mallistoa täydensivät 6-sylinteriset 285 ja 2100 (ks. 262-4100).
