International 923-953
Vuonna 1978 IH esitteli puimurimallit 943 ja 953. Näistä 943 oli parannettu versio aikaisemmasta mallista 541. Tämän yläpuolelle tuotiin turboahdetulla moottorilla, pidemmillä kohlimilla ja suuremmalla viljasäiliöllä varustettu 953. Vuodelle 1981 pienet mallit 321 ja 431 korvattiin 923:lla ja 933:lla. Kasvua oli ennen kaikkea pienimmän mallin moottoritehossa ja viljasäiliön koossa. Samalla myös 943:n viljasäiliötä kasvatettiin. Tarjolla oli nyt ensimmäistä kertaa panoraamaohjaamo.
IH:n mallisto on tyypillinen esimerkki kehityksestä: uudessa mallistossa pienin malli putoaa pois ja huipulle tuodaan aina entistä suurempi puimuri. 80-luvun lopulla 953 oli tarjolla myös Hydro-versiona. Näiden mallien jälkeen IH keskittyi pelkästään Axial Flow -puimureihin.
